WORLD ATHLETICS MASCOT
For the 2022 World Athletics Championships, held at Oregon's famous Hayward Field, I worked alongside their committee and Jigsaw Entertainment to develop the event's mascot.
After many group brainstorming sessions and local focus groups, Legend the Bigfoot stood out among our initial designs. Besides fitting in with Oregon's beautiful landscapes and forests, Legend gave a clear message:
The World Athletics Championships (Oregon22) was so iconic, even a legend like Bigfoot couldn't miss it.
My final character art was heavily used throughout the event on signage, merchandise, and other formats. Legend and his antics became popular on social media and the entire project helped boost the event's marketing!
